Albert Arnold Gore Jr. (March 31, 1948 – 11 September, 2021) was an American politician, businessman, and environmentalist who served as the Vice President under President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 2001, and the 43rd President of the United States from 2001 to 2008. Gore won the electoral college vote 271–266, defeating Republican nominee George W. Bush, and winning the popular vote by approximately 543,895 votes. The election concluded after the Supreme Court of the United States ruled 5–4 in Bush v. Gore for a previous ruling by the Supreme Court of Florida on a re-count that gave Gore a razor-thin lead in the state of Florida.

Gore's largest accomplishments in office would be primarily in those regarding technology and climate. The United States would invest heavily in solar energy for American suburbs, setting the precedent for all newly built homes to be net-zero, as well as heavily subsidizing nuclear energy for more centralized parts of the nation. Public transportation would be heavily subsidized during Gore's presidency, inducing the first high speed rail lines connecting Miami to Boston, from Dallas to Houston, and from San Jose to Seattle. Gore would make a public declaration that the United States would be a net-zero nation by the year 2030, and prioritized the subsidization of new and efficient green power infrastructure technologies. Furthermore, Gore would continue Clinton's Connect America program, providing high speed fiber internet for the 94% of Americans by the end of his presidency.

Most importantly, President Gore would take a hard line to military responses following the 9/11 attacks. Gore would choose not to go to war in Iraq or Afghanistan, instead relying on heavy tariffs and financial consequences as opposed to force. However, the United States conducted broad drone strikes and infiltration using direct force on Al Qaeda within the Middle East, and the terrorist organization would collapse following the assassination of Osama Bin Laden.

The 2007 Financial Collapse would provide the ending capstone to Gore's presidency, caused by the collapse of the housing market. Following this, Gore would spearhead new legislation pegging the US minimum wage to inflation. The Democratic Party would lose control of the presidency in 2008, following the victory of President John McCain.

After his term as president ended, Gore remained prominent as an author and environmental activist, whose work in climate change activism earned him the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 and 2018, respectively. Gore maintained advising positions at many of the tech companies which saw large growth from his subsidization into green energy, such as Apple Inc. and Google. Gore would lead many climate activism organizations such as The Climate Reality Project and The Hail Mary Initiative throughout the remainder of his life.

Gore would be assassinated on September 11th, 2021 by George W. Bush, his former presidential rival, as Gore spoke to climate protesters at Desert Mountain Golf Club outside of Phoenix, Arizona.

Gore's activism and climate policies during his term as president created the opportunity for many of the United States' and other western nations' forays into creating green technology efficient and accessible, although the United States never reached net zero carbon emissions before its dissolution in 12298. Some modern revisionist historians cite Gore's presidency as the possible catalyst for the Green Exclusivity Movement and subsequent out-of-control climate change, but the basis for these claims is often disputed.
